These terms cover the use of this website and the messaging described below. The agreement governing paid service to a contracting business is a separate signed document, and where the two differ, the signed agreement wins.
Answering Crew is operated by Greyson Corbin Goldberg, a sole proprietorship registered in New York.
What we do
We answer telephone calls on behalf of home-services contractors, book appointments into their calendars, capture details from callers who do not book, and alert the business owner to urgent calls. Calls are answered by an automated system, and callers are told at the start of the call that it may be recorded.
Messaging terms
Consent is given on the phone, and is never required
If you call one of our client businesses, you will be asked whether you agree to receive text messages about your appointment. Agreeing is never a condition of booking work or of any purchase. If you say no, you will not be texted.
What you will receive
Messages about the appointment or enquiry you called about. Booking confirmations, reminders before a visit, a note when a technician is on the way, and a reply if your call was missed.
Frequency and cost
Frequency varies with your appointment activity, and is generally a small number of messages per booked job. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Neither we nor the contractor charge you for messages.
Stopping messages
Reply STOP to any message and messaging ends. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at the address below.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Mobile information and consent to receive text messages are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
Emergencies
This service is not an emergency service
If you smell gas, see smoke, or believe there is any danger to life or property, leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility immediately. Do not wait for a contractor to call you back. Our answering service will tell you the same thing, and it does not replace emergency services.
Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use this website, to submit a form on it, or to consent to receive text messages from us. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 or send messages to a number we know belongs to someone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information or opted in, contact us and we will remove it and stop messaging that number.
Using this website
The content here is provided as is, for information. We may change it at any time. Do not use the site to break the law or to interfere with its operation.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Obligations to a paying client are set out in that client's signed service agreement, not here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
